Weekend Recap, since today was nothing compared to then.

Hey guys, thanks for all of your supporting and encouraging words regarding yesterday's post. Today is much better. It's not GREAT, but it definitely was not as atrocious as yesterday. Since I today was still in the degree of yesterday's personality, I've decided to share with you my weekend instead. So first, in the above picture...once I got off work at 9:45 PM sharp Friday night, I drove to Gadsden to enjoy a bloody margarita and two red bull and vodkas with Z and our friend at the local Tavern bar. Trust that I don't go to the bar often, but the bar that we like to go to is mild besides the alcohol and it's quiet. There is never a crowd and we love it that way.
The next morning/mid afternoon since we slept in....Z's mom made us a delicious meal. She's such a great cook! I love her cornbread...yummmmmm, my favorite! Don't you love home cooked meals?
Soon after, Z went to work and dropped me off at my car where surprisingly they were also having a sidewalk sale! Woo hoo! It's basically where are the stores on the downtown strip bring their sales outside and you can walk around to shop. It's like a yard sale for stores! Sweetness. I was supposed to go shop for a top for church, but I was side tracked. I mean, you can't blame me for not wanting to skip out on this!
I wanted to buy this one skirt, but it was $25 dollars for something that I can have my sister Taz make for me! Pssshh....no thanks. BUT, I did manage to grab these super freaking awesome vintage sunglasses for $1 each! I bought eight different ones. Don't hate. Haha.
After the sidewalk sale and my excitement for scoring such an awesome vintage find, I did my planned task of shopping for a top. This is what I bought from Old Navy. Yes, it's also the shirt that you saw in yesterday's post, but that picture was originally taken on Sunday. Ha. Side note: Old Navy's air conditioning was OUT! So it was scolding hot in the store, but in Gadsden..the shopping selection is extremely limited, so I had to do my shopping there. Ugh. I'm just glad I was able to find something though.
After shopping, I met up with Jewelya for a girl's movie night! We went to watch Crazy Stupid Love. It was a cute movie and I loved all of the actors in it. Actually, to be honest...I didn't even know of the movie until we watched it. I just trusted Jewelya's pick and knew that Emma Stone was in it. Emma Stone rocks my socks. So, seeing that Ryan Gosling, Jullianne Moore, and Steve Carrell was in it? Major bonus points! Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
After the movie, Jewelya and I went to grab dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Check out their bathroom! WHOA. I had to take a picture to share. Pretty awesome bathroom compared to the aesthetic of their actual restaurant. Kind of threw me off there.
That night after Z and Kevin got off work, we had a double date night and played Rook until maybe 1 or 2 in the morning! Have any of you ever played? It's a really fun game if you have a good partner. I have an amazing partner![Ahem...Z, haha] Neither of us technically won because you have to get to 500 points. Both teams were definitely in the negative, but if you want to get technical.....technically Z and I had the lower negative number, so we took the win. Haha. There will be a round two though!

So, yesssssh. That was my weekend wrapped up in a blog post. It's always nice to have two whole days off to do what you want, when you want. What did you all do this past weekend?

Oh! And I wanted to share a sneak peek of what I made for my awesome pen pal, Sam. She blogs over at Turnip N Roses. Go say hello! She's expecting her first baby soooon. Yay! She and her husband just got a really cute cat too! I really hope she likes it when she receives it and doesn't think I'm too cheesy. Do any of you have a pen pal?

Lastly! Promise. Did you see the 250 personalized stickers giveaway that I'm hosting? The last day to enter is the 19th, so I suggest you go check it out!

Wow, we don't have sidewalk sales here! Mind you, we call sidewalks 'pavements'. American food is so crazily different too, haha. I love the polka shirt, sweetie! Oh Ryan Gosling? Mieow ;) Pretty much in love with that bathroom too.
