Hi guys! Oh my goodness(x's a gazillion...) my first day of school starts tomorrow! I'm extremely nervous, excited, scared, wondering what I should wear, thinking if I have enough school supplies, afraid that I will get lost, and everything else that falls into the unknown category. Out of all these feelings though, I am so ready. Since it has been so long[about 5 years] since I've been back in school, I'm only going to tackle one class this semester. I'm going to tackle Math! I hate hate hate math. Who agrees with me? For those of you who love math and can understand it's lingo, I applaud you. It's so very stereotypical to say that all Asians are good at math, but I am a prime example that this is NOT TRUE! Sure, I passed all of my math classes in high school without a problem, but I had to work really hard at it! Hopefully by taking this one class, I can focus all of my energy on learning it all again and really grasping it so that next semester I won't have such a hard time while balancing more classes.
The only con about my class is that it's at 8AM! I mean, I can wake up early when I have to, but in Birmingham....this is the absolute WORST TIME EVER to be in traffic or to be driving anywhere. I know that by having to be there at 8, I will have to leave my apartment by at least 6:30 or 7 - so I'll have to get up at maybe 5[or in reality 6:15..haha] or so. Ugh! It's only 15 or so miles away, but yessssssssss...it does take about an hour to get there. Talk about ridiculous, yes? I know. The pros about this class is that I'll be done by 9:15 and can still enjoy the rest of my morning before work. Also, it's on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I get a break in between and it won't interfere with a case of the Mondays or itching for the weekend Fridays. Yay for that!
Overall guys, I'm super nervous and excited for tomorrow. I feel like a little kid going back to school for the first time[in a long time]. I am really crossing my fingers and toes that my professor will be kind and helpful. Cheers to getting closer to my dream career! :)

Good luck! You will be amazed at how quickly you settle in. I just started school again 6 weeks ago, after four years of having fun! And we are already halway through the trimester and about to get a two week study break. I think back to how nervous I was and can't believe I feel so at home there now. Hope you have a wonderful first day!
I'm going back to school on Monday too! I've always been off & on in college, and this is my first semester in a year! Good luck :)
omg chica--I start school next week too! I graduated 5 years ago and decided to take some computer programming classes. It should be fun since I'm married to a programmer and...most of all...for the first time in my life I'm doing this for ME. I'm not trying to graduate with a certain GPA, not trying to impress my parents or any of that...just for me. I'm psyched :)

I also did not inherit the good at math asian gene.
