Since Thanksgiving has ended, I have finally decided to get real with myself and start working out again. Seriously guys, the last time I actually worked out or made an effort was the beginning of this year. That is so BAD. Tsk and shame on me! I know that Christmas is fast approaching, but I know that I can avoid all the unhealthy fatty foods this year. All I have to do is look in the mirror and that is a good enough motivator for me. No worries, this is not a self esteem issue at all, but I would love to be much healthier. Who wouldn't?
Anywho, I really want to loose an X amount of weight and I have decided not to be so detailed about it on here in fear of failure for myself. I just wanted to be able to express what I have on my mind and in a way, blogging about it will be a motivator for me as well.

So, guess what I bought last week for 3 low payments of $19.95? I bought ZUMBA! Yep. I'm a sucker for infomercials...haha. I have heard so much about Zumba from real life friends and I see it on many of my west coast Facebook friend's statuses. I'm ready for it...and who doesn't love to dance? I love to dance...so if I can get into that and loose weight at the same time, I'm totally down for it.

Memory flashback, but have any of you heard of Slim in 6? When I was a sophomore in high school, I begged and pleaded my mom to get this workout for me. Gah that seems like so long ago. The workout was still on VHS tapes! Haha. Anyway, I did it for about 3 weeks or so and lost 15+ lbs, but along with being teenager and having so much more fun doing other things, I didn't follow through with it...and here I am again years later.

I'm just putting this out here because it worked so well for me. I'm not about to buy the workout again since my mom has it somewhere stored at home. I just need to find a VHS player. I swear those things are ancient now.

Another thing! Have any of you worked out with P90X? I heard that it was a great workout series too, but a serious kick in your tush. I think I'm going to dance it off first, then do P90X.

I feel like I'm rambling now, but here's something random. My older sister sent me a text message yesterday asking if she should pay $59.99 to be hypnotized to loose weight. The first thing I told her was that she was crazy and I think it's a whole bunch of caca. I hope I don't offend any of you out there that are really into hypnosis, but it's ridiculous how some folks are crazy enough to believe that you will loose weight by someone hypnotizing you. Um...hello? Isn't this hypnosis theory the same concept of meditation or thinking for yourself, since it is a mind exercise? Come on folks! Eventually, I felt bad about what I said to my sister and told her if she had $60 bucks to blow, then go for it. That probably wasn't so nice either, but I had to be honest. She's going to keep me updated on her progress if she decides to be hypnotized and I'll let you guys know the outcome when I hear something!

If any of you have any ideas on diet and exercise, holla at me! Thanks!
PS. This woman has inspired me. Like woah.

Hi guys! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I got back yesterday and it was so nice to be back in Alabama, even though I will miss my family and friends in South Carolina. I'm still exhausted from the whole trip and I wish I had one day to hibernate. Anyway, I apologize for my absence over the weekend...again, I was super busy and didn't have any time to sit down to blog. I probably would have just yapped about my time in South Carolina.

By the way, did you guys see my very first vlog that I posted on Friday? It was really short, but a first for me. Would you guys like to see more of me via video? Or are you horrified and would rather keep my behind the keyboard. Haha. Just wondering! Oh...I got my hair did finally. My Aunt Jane was kind enough to cut my long awaiting bangs. I'm still getting used to them, but so far I like them because they're different. I haven't had bangs like this since I was in elementary school I believe. What do you think of them? Yay or nay?
Oh and check out these cute felt envelopes! I wish I had the ability to sew......oh-how-I-wish!
Well, my dears...I hope you have a wonderful Monday! Thank you for visiting. :)

With my move day into a studio coming closer and closer, I need to get rid of my king size bed and downsize to a day bed. I figured a day bed would be the best idea for more room for me and still a comfy place to sleep. I wanted it to be a bed/couch/study area too. Here are some that I found. The two at the bottom are probably not likely, but they're so awesome that I had to post them to share.

Oh and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I am so incredibly thankful for each and every single one of you.

I have so much to do tonight before I leave for South Carolina. I'm the worst procrastinator ever, but for some reason I do very well under pressure. I still have not figured out the reason why that is yet. Anyway, Carini was so kind to burn me three lovely CDs to listen to on my 5 [or so] hours drive, so I'm excited to FINALLY be able to listen to them. I know that I've been yapping it up all this month about my readiness for this holiday, but I just found out this morning that my dad volunteered me to sell admission tickets at the annual Hmong New Year in North Carolina.

This will take up three mornings of my visit, since the Hmong New Year is for three days and also more traveling...roughly 2+ hours to North Carolina and back. I have now come to the conclusion that it's going to be an exhausting holiday, but I just hope that I can still get all the time I can with my family. I know that I shouldn't complain about this because I know that my dad is just allowing me to be some type of assistance to our Hmong community. Since I live in Alabama, I can't help because of the distance and there are no Hmong people that I know of in Bama. I just wish he had asked me prior to signing me up. Thanks again, Dad. [scoffs] I still love you though, no worries.

I'm also still thinking about what to cook for our Thanksgiving dinner? See? Procrastination gets me again! I know like many occurrences, I'll find a great recipe on Food Network and it will turn out a-ok. I also need to find out what the weather will be like so I'll know what to pack. Yes, I have not packed yet. My clothes are in the washer now.....yup, doing laundry today too. Don't judge me. Haha.

To ease my yapping and complaining of my procrastination, here is a picture of sweet cupcake and a quote that I added to make it pretty. [Even though the original picture was awesome already.]

More than likely I won't be active in the blogger world during this holiday because of all the running around, but no worries...I have some pretty scheduled posts for you all to hopefully ooh and awe at.

Are you a big bad procrastinator like me? How would you feel about being signed up for something you didn't know about? What are some last minute cooking ideas/recipes that you've put together?

Tis a rainy day today. Sweet cupcake and I are trying to spend as much time together as possible before we go our separate ways for this Thanksgiving holiday. Of course this makes me sad, but on the bright side...I'm happy that we get to spend time with our loved ones. I know already that we'll be texting, Facebooking, and skyping while we're apart. Haha. Oh, how I love technology.

When I say that it's a rainy day though...it really is. Outside is pouring and drenching all of the beautiful autumn leaves. I find it so odd that it's still warm out. I mean...come on winter, it's the middle of November already and I have yet to wear any winter clothes this week! I actually have my fan turned on in my room because I refuse to turn the AC on. That's just ridiculous. I hope that by the time I get to South Carolina, the weather will act appropriately.

Don't you just love rain boots? I want a pair....maybe.

Also, today sweet cupcake and I went to eat at Taste of Thailand. It was his first time eating Thai food ever...even though what he ordered isn't exactly what I consider "real" Thai food. He got some stir fry broccoli and I of course being the curry lover that I am, got spicy red curry chicken. Yummmmmmmm. I love coconut milk so much. Do you?
+

Well my lovelies...I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday, whether it is rain or shine in your neck of the woods. The most wonderful time of the year is coming upon us soon after lots of eating and I'm sooooo ready. Who's shopping on Black Friday? NOT ME! Sweet cupcake has used Black Friday as his work out mechanism after Thanksgiving for the past few years. I tell him he's crazy. Haha. If you do go, be careful and I hope you score some great deals.

I love that it's Monday! Yep, you read that right.... I've never been a fan of the day that ends the weekend, but today, Monday is a new beginning! In a more optimistic light, it's a chance to make the rest of your week great! We all look forward to the weekends, yes...but all of the 7 days, we should be thankful for! Every single day is a blessing and my pessimistic bug is going under the rug today. Here are some images to brighten your day, my dear blogger friends.

Only THREE more days until my travel to South Carolina for Thanksgiving with my family!
What is your countdown?

PS. Though I am happy, I'm kind of bummed that I lost 2 followers. Oh well...I am still so very appreciative of all the blogger friends that I still have! Only 12 more new friends to reach 200 and another awesome giveaway from me!

Just wanted to share with you all my sister, Tasee's youtube.
"This video mainly focuses on Spring and Summer clothing that you can mix and match together for the Fall and Winter fashion. Not only do you get to keep your clothing, you get to save money with transforming how you wear clothing pieces."

She's fabulous and I wish I was as skinny as her! Click here to see more of her helpful and interesting videos!

How cute is this?

Sorry for being so wordless, BUT have a wonderful Sunday. :)

“For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.”

Judy Garland
Happy eight months, my sweet cupcake!
I'm so sad that we're not spending it together this time around. He's in Gadsden working and I'm in Birmingham working. This month and next month will be kind of sad in general though because we'll both miss each other for Thanksgiving and Christmas to be with our families. We've discussed that maybe next year, we can switch things up. No matter how far I am from him though, just the thought of him brings a smile to my face and a flutter in my heart. I am so lucky.

Even though I am working today, I feel so much love in my heart and life. The days are getting so much closer to Thanksgiving, so I get to see most of my family sooooooon! Love has helped me through so many situations in life. It has brought me tears...oh, so many of them. Tears of sadness, joy, excitement, and of course...the ultimate love for a special someone. I don't know what I would do without it. Do you? If you happen to stop by this post and read along these lines...I hope you know that you are loved. I love you guys for being my blogger friend and if you ever stopped by quietly or left a comment...you have made my day. For a spur of the moment, here are some things that I am loving.
