Wednesday night, sweet cupcake and I went to the awesome dollar theater. I didn't get off work until late, so we decided on the latest movie that they played, The Karate Kid. I just want to mention really quick that I think it's quite ridiculous that a bag of popcorn is $6 bucks. Maybe I'm just a cheapo, but after paying that much for it...I was expecting the best popcorn I've ever had in my life. Well, it wasn't and we didn't even finish half the bag. Back to the movie...it was such a cute movie. Overall, I enjoyed it for my buck. The scenery of China was very beautiful and the main actor, Jaden Smith, was adorable as always. I loved him in The Pursuit of Happyness and it is probably one of my all time favorites. Also, I have always admired Jackie Chan ever since his Rush Hour fame. Whoever chose the Jackie Chan to be the modern Mr. Miyagi is awesome. Haha.
Negatives on the movie? There are really only two things that bothered me a little. One, maybe I'm just being extremely stiff here...but it weirded me out seeing a little boy making out. Ok, it grossed me out. It's just my opinion that 12 year olds shouldn't be kissing yet. Two, the scene when Jackie Chan became emotional about the loss of his wife and child. I don't want you guys to think that I'm being insensitive or anything, but when he was crying for like a straight 3 or 4 minutes...I got the creep chills. Maybe it's because I'm not used to the bad ass Jackie Chan crying, but I just didn't think that long of a scene was needed. It really made Jackie Chan's character extremely unstable. Overall, the movie was an under dog champion mood booster. You should still go see it. The negative points are just my opinion though, so I hope no one took offense. Sorry about the rambling. I wrote a lot more than I though I would about the movie.
On to other things! Sweet cupcake and I spent most of the whole day together yesterday and it was awesome. Gah, I love any time spent with this guy! :) We went to the yummy Jason's Deli and of course I wanted to record it via blog. Haha.
Sweet cupcake got a tuna melt with a side soup of red beans and rice. I didn't try any of his food, so I'm not sure if it was any good. He definitely finished his sandwich though [he never finishes his food], so it must have been yummy.
I got the California Club with a side soup of spicy seafood gumbo. My sandwich was like a slice of heaven because it was light and refreshing. As for the soup, I couldn't get enough of the soup! It was spicy and the epitome of what "gumbo" should taste like. YUM!
After our tasty lunch, sweet cupcake spontaneously wanted a chocolate bagel from Panera Bread. Well, we went and instead got a cheese and apple pastry. Can you see the apple slices? Oh my goodness....the pastries definitely made my day. I'm such a fatty. Haha.
Also, what is a good rambling blog without a silly picture of sweet cupcake...right? He was fidgeting with my scarf and making me laugh [as always!] right before I was going to work. Mmmm....work. That was the main reason why my day was only almost close to perfect.
[He is going to kill me! Hahaha, but how could one not love a person that has eyes as kind as his? Awe...I know, major sap right here.]
I'm so excited about leaving tonight to South Carolina to meet baby Jude! Yay and I hope you guys have a WONDERFUL Friday!
PS. Sorry for the confusion if you were one of the few that read this late Thursday night...seeing that this was not supposed to post until Friday! Stupid sensitive mouse made me click on the 'publish post' on accident.

I haven't seen that movie yet. A buck for a movie is a good deal! But $6 for popcorn?! Man! That defeats the purpose of going to a dollar movie theatre! How rude of those theatre people in charge of pricing popcorn.. :) And I'm with you on the making out thing.. I didn't know he did that in the movie! How gross! 12 is WAY too young. Especially when he looks 7. All the food you posted looks amazing. Yum!
I tagged you in a fun survey tag on my blog today! :)
I agree. 12 is too young to be making out. And yes, Jackie Chan can be a little cheesy. But, I'm glad you liked the movie. It does look cute.
Oh how I love Jason's Deli! What a tease those pictures are ;)
Panera Bread is my absolute favorite spot for pastries :)
I love karate kid! I can't remeber how the original Karate Kid was like, but I love this new version. :)
I'd really like to see this, as I loved the original as a child. And that food looks delish nom nom.
(PS I totally agree about popcorn.. it costs a few cents to make a big bag and they charge through the nose??!!!)
