Little did I know, just right down the street exists a lovely and romantic $1 theater! I remember going there once before, but that was when I first moved to Birmingham in 2007/2008 and did not know where it was located as of yet. I would have never thought it was only less than a 5 minute drive from where I live now. Woo hoo!
Last night, miss Suzy PHAN-tasic invited me to a $1 movie night. Sweet cupcake was on his way down here already, so all three of us went together. We watched the comical, the ingeniously funny movie, Date Night. I've been wanting to watch this movie for soooo long now and I'm glad I was finally able to see it! AND...for only a dollar!
We are definitely planning on more $1 movie nights from now on, for sure. Anyway, about the movie. It was hilarious, duh. Go watch it. Who doesn't love Steve Carell and Tina Fey? Especially when they're in a movie together! Since it was a $1 movie, it seemed like a lot of the people were much more chill and laid back. I didn't find one person shush the other and no one kicked the back of my chair(One of my biggest pet peeves). It was awesome. Remember when I said that I couldn't believe how expensive movie tickets were now when sweet cupcake and I went to watch Despicable Me(who also stars Steve Carell)? Yeah, I'm never paying $9-$13 for a movie ticket again, 3D or not. Well....I guess it'll really depend on the movie haha, but I have patience for it to travel nicely to the $1 theater. It was an awesome Monday night.
Oh! Also, Happy Birthday to sweet cupcake's dad, Phil! :)

Oh, you're right about that! I think there will be nights when the concession stands are super cheap too...since that is where they make their money. :)
